Superintendent's Message

Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. As in years past…..wait! It seems that nothing will be the same as in years past. Well, almost nothing that is. The one thing that will be the same is the effort that the Conotton Valley Union Local School District will provide in educating our students!

I want you to know that we will do everything in our power to provide the students with a safe, caring, and quality education. The CV Board of Education, administration, and staff are excited to see our kiddos! The key to everyone's success this year will be their attitude and flexibility. We are in uncharted territory, and there will be situations that will require cooperation from all participants.

Please talk with your children about the expectations for the upcoming year. We know that the kids will have lots of questions and might be anxious about the changes.  Change is hard for most people; however, we know that Rocket-Nation has GRIT and will not fail! As we progress throughout the school year, we will make improvements and changes when necessary. I want to assure you that we have spent an incredible amount of time creating our reopening plan, but unique situations will arise.

Finally, the construction of our "Rocket Center" is underway. This project will add to the challenges with arrival and departures. Please add a few extra minutes to your daily schedule to accommodate any delays. In advance, let me say, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT" and "GO ROCKETS!"

Jerry “Todd” Herman, Superintendent
