Conotton Valley is proud to host their first ever home playoff game vs. Fairfield Christian on Friday night at 7pm. Tickets may be purchased on OHSAA.org. There will be a cash ticket option available at the gate. Tickets are $11.00/adults and $5.00/students. GO ROCKETS!

Thanks to community involvement and the hard work of our newly established student council, a recent “Trunk or Treat” event held at the school was a huge success. The event, which was free to the community, hosted 20 vehicles that passed out candy, popcorn, and treats to over 200 costume-clad trick or treaters. Each vehicle decorated their trunk with a theme and the student council ran an assortment of activities including pumpkin ring toss and pumpkin tic-tac-toe. They also hosted two fundraisers; selling freshly-made hot chocolate and applying Halloween-themed temporary tattoos to trick or treaters. The student council plans to make this an annual event, celebrating the fall season with the community for years to come. #SOAR

The Psychology class recently used their creativity to present information they have learned about the structure and function of our brains. They were able to choose how they wanted to present what they learned from using posters, slide shows, or even edible options. Today's presentations were well done and we even learned that the brain is the fattiest organ in our bodies! #SOAR

We are proud to announce that for the first time in our program's history our football team will be hosting a playoffgame. Way to go, players and coaches!

Reminder: There is no school for Buckeye Career Center students on Monday, October 14, 2024. Students reporting to Conotton Valley or Kent State-Tuscarawas for any of their classes should please follow that schedule. Thank you!

The Psychology class is beginning to study how our brains sense and perceive the world around us. In today's activity, the students had to use their senses and ability to perceive the world around them to complete a series of tasks. At one station, students had to use their sense of taste to determine the flavor of the Skittle they ate, without looking at the color. At another, they had to determine the flavor of the Skittle while smelling a stronger scent, to determine which sense was stronger. The onion was very strong today!! Their sense of touch came in handy to determine what some mystery items were, and they blew bubbles to feel what the solution was like. They had to use their perception to put a puzzle together, without knowing what the picture looked like! They also took a moment to listen to the happenings in the classroom, and took a view of the classroom from another angle.
